The Artist
Kyla Wall
Kyla is the artist and owner of The Painted Lady Tattoo Shop. She started tattooing in 2021 with a sharp focus on neo-traditional work — bold outlines, rich color palettes, and designs built to look incredible for decades, not just on day one.
By 2022, she'd opened her own studio. By 2023, she expanded to a full team. Her specialty is neo-trad, but her range goes much further: fine line, watercolor, Japanese, anime, blackwork, illustrative, and botanical. The constant is custom design — every piece starts as a one-on-one collaboration.
No flash walls. No templates. You bring an idea, and Kyla builds something that's entirely yours.

Common Questions
Everything you need to know before booking.
How do I book an appointment?
Fill out the booking form on this page. Include your idea, placement, size, and references. I'll respond within a few days to schedule a consultation.
Do I need a finished design?
No. Most people come with a rough idea — references, a description, or just a feeling. I handle the custom design process from there.
How much does a tattoo cost?
Depends on size, complexity, placement, and time. I provide a clear quote after we discuss the piece. Consultations are always free.
What's your specialty?
Neo-traditional — bold outlines, rich color, designs with depth. I also work in fine line, watercolor, Japanese, anime, blackwork, illustrative, and botanical.
Does it hurt?
Varies by placement. Bony areas are more intense, fleshy areas are more manageable. Most describe it as a scratching sensation. Very doable.
How long does a session take?
Small pieces: 1–3 hours. Medium: 3–5 hours. Large or detailed pieces may span multiple sessions.
Do you do cover-ups?
Yes, and I enjoy the creative challenge. Send a photo of your existing tattoo and we'll explore what's possible.
What should I do before my appointment?
Eat well, stay hydrated, sleep well, skip alcohol 24 hours before. Bring snacks and headphones for longer sessions.
